Fluffy mallow stack : absolutely lush and worth B choice and 10 syns. To make, whisk up 2 eggs, add a little sugar free syrup. Dip each piece of bread (no crusts so 3 slices for B choice). Using fry light fry them until brown and crispy. Then stack with @mallowandmarsh salted caramel mallows, their salted caramel fluff, topped with one of their chocolate vanilla mallows. A wee drizzle of low sugar caramel sauce and served with a side of strawberries 🍓 Was very ready for my brunch (230pm 🙊) after spending morning painting the garden fence. Absolutely stuffed now so away to head back out to do some more bits in the garden. We’ve not had many dry days lately so it’s nice to be able to get some outside jobs complete 💁‍♀️

🔸4 Months Post Op 🔸 People always ask me what’s been the hardest part of your journey so far? Before surgery all I focused on was how I was going to prepare for my recovery. I had planned it all out. I took time off work, read every blog and article about other people’s experiences, ordered special pillows, stocked up on protein drinks, bought a tone of pain killers. I did everything and anything you could think of. I was ready for any physical pain that I would feel. Yes of course it was uncomfortable to begin with but it was only a few days after surgery when I realised just what a giant battle I was going to have on my hands. Surprisingly this battle wasn’t as I had predicted. It wasn’t physical at all it was all mental. You have to understand food has always been my safety blanket. Whether I was feeling happy, sad, anxious, excited, embarrassed any sort of emotion food was always there. Then suddenly it was gone. It sounds silly but I had to grieve this relationship with food that I’d had for so long. My entire life used to revolve around food. When I went out; what was I going to eat? What restaurant? It dictated everything I did without me even knowing it. It had become such a big part of my life that when I didn’t have it I almost felt like I didn’t know who I was anymore. I had to restructure my world. I no longer look at food as a comfort but as something that sustains me. I’m not going to lie it’s still a work in progress but it’s a start and one I’m happy share! If you see me around and want to ask a question please do I love answering them as best as I can! Also a big shout out to my family and friends who have had to deal with me for the past four months I know I haven’t been easy. Love you Mum! 😋

Desserts, beer or pizza can be eaten every now and then - but still, this was only 10% - 20% of the time. NOT 50%+ as people may think.⁣ ⁣ This is understood by most coaches and used by the leanest individuals, the ones who can sustain it. But it did put a sour taste in people’s mouths “the guru’s” and nutrition coaching as a whole. ⁣ ⁣ 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻:⁣ ⁣ ▫️Most of your meals will be boring. Learn some new and unique recipes that can work for you. Cardboard and dry tasting food can really deter you. 🙅🏻‍♂️⁣ ⁣ ▫️Dieting means to restrict via nutrition, which is fine. Creating a deficit means eating less.⁣ ⁣ ▫️Whole food sources are 100x easier to track and more accurate when tracking. This is important because when people say “I’m hitting my macros” they aren’t actually. Because they are filling them up with protein bars or cliff bars from costco. 🤦🏻‍♂️⁣ ⁣ ▫️Crockpot creations (vegan or paleo meals with 87 ingredients inside) are pretty damn difficult to track. If you want to keep things easier inside your tracker, keep it simple. Not saying you can’t eat these types of meals, it will just be extremely difficult for you to know what you're getting out of it.⁣ ⁣ ▫️And lastly, we CAN and SHOULD eat out, have a drink, or enjoy some processed food every now and then. Sometimes I get so focused on losing weight that I stress myself out to the point of over the top impulsivity...and if you know me you know nothing good EVER comes from running amok! . Thankfully, during this morning’s meditation I found myself reflecting on what I’ve gained vs what’s left to lose: . 1. I gained freedom. 2. I gained compassion for myself. 3. I gained understanding of my ED. 4. I gained a brother. 5. I gained new friendships. 6. I gained a love for fitness. 7. I gained pain free days. 8. I gained boundaries. 9. I gained strength. 10. I gained respect for my body. 11. I gained healing. 12. I gained patience. 13. I gained courage to face my fears. 14. I gained “letting others in”. 15. I gained my life back. How about you? What have you gained?

Part of making better food choices and making changes towards living a healthier lifestyle is not depriving yourself of things that are good. Moderation is important and is better than restriction. I haven’t really had any type of baked goods since I started on my health journey, and I felt it was time to start trying to incorporate them back into my diet. These Apple Cinnamon Muffins are just the right amount of sweet for me and aren’t overpowered by the taste of sugar. Paired with fruit, it makes an easy breakfast. In total the batch I made today makes 15-16 muffins depending on how much batter is used in each muffin tin mold. The original recipe is from the Mama Knows Gluten-Free blog and was intended to be donuts originally. I don’t have a donut pan so I made them into muffin instead and modified the recipe very slightly.⠀ ⠀ Ingredients ⠀ 2 cups gluten-free flour⠀ 1/2 tsp cinnamon ⠀ 1/2 tsp salt⠀ 1 tsp baking powder⠀ 3/4 cup sugar⠀ 3 tbsp vegetable oil⠀ 1/2 tsp vanilla extract ⠀ 2 eggs⠀ 1 cup applesauce⠀ ⠀ Instructions⠀ 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.⠀ ⠀ 2. Spray full sized muffin tin with cooking spray.⠀ ⠀ 3. In a large bowl combine the sugar, eggs, applesauce, vegetable oil and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.⠀ ⠀ 4. Add gluten-free flour, cinnamon, salt and baking powder and mix until fully combined. The batter will be thick and sticky.⠀ ⠀ 5. Bake for 14-16 minutes. They will be golden brown and set.⠀ ⠀ 6. Serve warm and enjoy!

At the beginning of my journey I used to weigh myself obsessively. I’d weigh myself in the morning, after every meal, and before going to sleep. And every time the scale showed a gain instead of a loss I’d beat myself up about it. This obsession with the scale is SO unhealthy. At the time I didn’t truly understand weight loss, water retention, and that the number on the scale doesn’t determine success. Now I aim to weigh myself once a day, first thing in the morning, if that. And then I keep it moving. I don’t dwell on the number and I don’t let the scale dictate my success. But this morning I had to share my weight. I finally left the 190s and moved into the 189s. I remember how I felt when I left the 200s and entered onederland. I’m getting closer and closer to my goal. The progress is slower than at the start of my journey but it’s happening!

🟥WORKOUT BELOW!🟥 - - Post workout sweaty mess🥵 - - Had a great leg day this morning. I always cherish the days i get to wakeup and go to the gym because it is the BEST way to start your day!😍 (in my opinion). - - Before mom life i always got my workout done and out of the way first thing in the morning. In my opinion, it sets your day up for success if you do it that way! And i personally have the most energy in the morning, so it works out perfect🙌🏽 - - If you’re someone who pushes your workout off all day just to end up not going anyways, or struggling to finish, i would definitely recommend you wakeup early and go! It may take some adjusting, but you will feel SO much better once you do!😌 not only that, but then it’s done and out of the way and you have the rest of your day!👏🏽 - Here’s the workout i did today!👇🏽 -Dumbell RDL’s -Smith machine reverse lunges -Smith machine hip thrusts -Leg extensions -Hamstring curls YOU DONT NEED ANYTHING FANCY! Keep it simple. Be consistent in your workouts. Push yourself. And the results will follow🤫
