In fitness terminology you’ve hit a plateau. ⁣ ⁣ here are 5 ways to help you get out of it ⁣ 1️⃣ change up your fitness routine⁣ After a period of time your body gets use to the same workout you do day in and day out ⁣ ⁣ 2️⃣ Increase weight (safely) ⁣ Challenge yourself in the gym if you don’t want to change your routine. Be sure to increase the weight safely by small increments to help work your muscles ⁣ ⁣ 3️⃣ change up your sets ⁣ If you only do 3 sets of a workout do 4 sets and alter your reps according to the exercise ⁣ ⁣ 4️⃣ review your eating ⁣ People believe that going to the gym is a magic formula but if you aren’t fuelling your body with what it requires then it’s difficult to see results! ⁣ ⁣ 5️⃣ How many days are you training? ⁣ There is no right answer to the amount of says to train but see if you can increase your active days⁣ ⁣ When you hit a plateau don’t worry it’s normal and it requires small adjustment. Yesterday I was looking through summer photos and realized I hadn’t worn these leggings in so long! So today I threw them on for the gym and took a little physique update. The first photo is in June and the second one was today so about 7 months difference. It’s funny because I remember the day I took the first one, I had already lost quite a bit of weight and was feeling so good that day! I’m feeling really proud of that. I definitely was not where I wanted to be/ I definitely had not reached my goals. I mean I still haven’t, but I was still proud of how far I had come and today I’m excited about how much further I have come now. Building new habits, changing your physique, and becoming healthy doesn’t happen overnight, it’s a long gradual process. My advice is have long term goals in mind, but don’t forget to celebrate the little milestones too. Enjoy the journey guys and along the way be patient and kind to yourself. Because the who you are right now no matter how close or far you are from achieving what you want from life is still worthy of self love and respect.💜 . .

Abs and cardio today! I did the set you see on the chalk board, I highly recommend it to get your abs and obliques fully engaged. 😉 I also learned something today, cardio is a great way to stay warm when its cold out. 😂 I walked out into 40 something degree weather right after my workout and I loved it! 🤣 2 miles in about 23 minutes was my run time for today. My protein shake was banana and peaches. Yummy. 😋 Happy hump day! 🍑

Seriously, nothing makes me happier than not only seeing students grow in strength, but in confidence as well! @virgo_ash29 is one of the many students who remind me of why I love my job so much. Pole 3 can be a very intimidating class. There is a lot of conditioning, advanced spins, and of course, we invert! Ashley took the challenge head on and has been flying through everything I've given her. Each week her invert has gotten stronger and her confidence with each move has come through more and more. Feeling a little more confident and overall in a better mood these past couple weeks. I've been lifting heavy, running hard, and remembering that I am capable of pushing myself through difficult workouts! Was I in the mood to workout this morning? Nope. I really wanted an extra hour of sleep, but I took a rest day yesterday and I had some work to do in the gym today! Plus, it's super helpful that all of my workouts are already there and prepared for me. So, all I have to do is go to the gym and get it done! I was always one to love preparing my own workouts, but unfortunately I don't have the time to do so anymore. The fact that I don't have to stress about what I'm going to be doing everyday is a freaking blessing. It keeps me consistent and motivated to reach my goals honestly. Learning over the years how to properly eat and exercise. Learning that the sugars I would eat weren't what would help and neither would the cardio I would do. I swore this was the only way to look good. Fast forward to today I've learned how to properly eat and fuel my body and not be afraid to be the girl who walks over to the free weights and lift. It's taken a lot of trial and error but to say I've finally got it is a special feeling. I'm not afraid to step out of my comfort zone and I'm not afraid to trying new things. Maybe you should try it too because you never know until know. Its funny I'd get so mad at people for judging how I ate or what I did then, but now looking back I'm glad that they did ❣

By this time last year I had given up. I made a 2019 goal of working out daily and kicking some ass but I gave up by now. If it wasn’t for my mentor reaching out who knows where I would be. One simple reach out has changed my world. I’m now in probably one of the best shapes of my life, my confidence have grown tremendously, and I’ve gotten out of my shell to become this outgoing person (to an extent). Please don’t give up. The peanut butter made me do it! No seriously after years of floor nursing and wearing cute heels that actually weren't so comfy I refuse to wear uncomfortable workout shoes. I have spent tons in the past on running shoes that I won't name that only checked the cute box.
