I was 3 months pregnant whilst shooting this campaign 💫 Can’t believe another 5 months FLEW BY 😍⁣ ⁣ OVERNIGHT OATS - One of the easiest and super YUM breakfast options you can have 💫 It can also be taken as any meal - Super filling & super delicious ⭐️ ⁣ ⁣ Mix the following in a Jar:⁣ Mash 1 banana⁣ Add 1/2 cup of oats⁣ 1 TBSP chia seeds ⁣ 1 TSP coconut sugar / brown sugar ⁣ 1 TSP cinnamon (If you don’t like it replace with cocoa powder)⁣ ⁣ STIR ⁣ ⁣ ADD some mixed nuts and 1/2 cup of milk (I used almond milk) ⁣ ⁣ STIR & refrigerate overnight 🌒 ⁣ ⁣ Simply top with your favourite yogurt and toppings - I’ve gone for one of the healthiest options - Greet yogurt 💫 ⁣ + Dark chocolate chips, nuts and half a chopped banana because

Baked Beans & I have a special relationship. I discovered them when I moved to the UK in 2004. Maybe it was the fact that they looked so much like ‘Rajma’ (Red kidney beans), which is such a staple in most North Indian homes, or maybe it was the fact that I was all alone and working non stop which made me look for some sort of relief & Baked Beans from a can somehow just fit that bill. Every Sunday morning, after a gruelling night shift at the local call centre, I would walk to the local Tesco store & order the ‘Big Breakfast’ for a princely sum of £7.  It was also at this time that I discovered a lot of women authors like Val McDermid, Marian Keyes, Sue Grafton, Patricia Cornwell, and P D James so it would be breakfast with books. In those days, when life was slow, there was no reason to hurry, no social media, so it was just me and my books. Armed with a few books, and an appetite, the sleep-deprived me would pick up a side table and indulge myself in a treat. The breakfast consisted of Bacon, Hash brown, Baked beans from a can, Sausages, and toasted bread with butter with a cup of tea. But what I looked forward to was the Beans. I would always go on and order an extra helping because there is something sinfully delicious about a toasted piece of buttered bread slathered with baked beans, with a crispy hash brown & bacon on the side. And, before you ask, on days when I missed home, I would also try eating them with rice, and that is something you never want to do 😑😑. The morning would end with a weekly shop of ready to eat meals & a few cans of beans to microwave and eat at will. Of course, now, I wonder how I used to be so skinny after having that much sugar and salt in a single serving. But, in those lonely days and cold winter nights, it became an integral part of my life and one that got me through. I went through numerous cans of beans, utterly devoid of any sort of guilt. Nowadays, I make my version of Baked beans at home with some Mushrooms or Cheese for a fancy twist. While what I make is delicious and nourishing, I somehow can’t help but remember that sinful blue can of Beans that gave me comfort when I needed it the most. Recipe on the blog.

I get a lot of questions asking how to I choose what combinations to put together when making & topping my porridge. For me, there’s no right or wrong combo. A lot of the time I just see what fruit or sweet bits n bobs need using up, have a lucky dip as to what is frozen in the freezer & just roll with it. Sometimes the best bowls are the most random bowls if you ask me: full of surprises in every spoon full 💁🏻‍♀️ Just like this bowl: Rhubarb & Citrus Porridge (using homemade compote that was frozen in the freezer), topped with grapes (that were about to go past their best), crunchy PB & a handful of random flavoured Vegan Protein Balls from my @theproteinballco selection! It’s been a while since I have posted a recipe on here, but this mornings breakfast was delicious! (It could be a side dish for dinner too) Ingredients 1 large sweet potato 1 Apple 1/2 large onion 2 big handfuls of fresh spinach About 2 tbs honey About 2tbs butter/oil 1/2 cup water Salt, pepper, garlic, cinnamon Side note: I came up with this as I made it and didn’t actually measure anything, so everything is a rough estimate including times. 1. Peel and chop sweet potato. Turn pan heat on to med-medium high and put butter or oil in the pan. Once it’s hot but not smoking hot, put the sweet potato in. Sprinkle with seasonings to taste. 2. Peel and chop onion. After the potatoes have been cooking about 3-4 minutes, stir in onion. 3. Peel, core and chop apple. Add to pan along with the water (I did 1/4 cup, then when it all evaporated I added 1/4 more) and cover with a lid for about 5 minutes until everything is soft. 4. Drizzle with honey, add any more seasonings as needed and stir in spinach uncovered until wilted and no more water in the pan. 5. Enjoy! I chopped things each step of the way and the chopping was my timer pretty much. Just something different for breakfast!

Add rest of the ingredients and mix it well. Fry pancakes on a pan with a bit of coconut oil. Zmiana nawyków żywieniowych to nie jest prosta sprawa. Jednak satysfakcja i poczucie zmiany, a przede wszystkim widoczne efekty w funkcjonowaniu organizmu: to najwyższa nagroda za ten trud. Obecnie w moim żywieniu królują owsianki (moje jelita są przeszczęśliwe!), kiszonki, warzywa i owoce, a także nieco nabiału (ser czy kefir). Wyeliminowałam mleko krowie, bo odkryłam, że bez niego czuję się lepiej niż z nim! Sprawdźcie, co dla Waszego organizmu jest najlepsze. Ja cały czas odkrywam, co się sprawdza, a co u mnie nie może mieć miejsca na talerzu. Jedzenie, sen, aktywność fizyczna - to są sprawy, które powinny mieć priorytet w życiu każdego z nas, bo od tego zależy jak długo i w jakim stanie będzie żyć nasz organizm. _______________________

Piąteczek, piątunio, na śniadanie puszysta chałeczka prosto z piekarnika 💕 i ten cudowny unoszący się zapach wanilii w całym domu ☺ Przepis na chałkę z kruszonką: ➡️ Składniki na chałkę: - 250g mąki tortowej - 30g drobnego cukru - 20g drożdży świeżych - 1 jajko + 1 żółtko (+1 żółtko do smarowania) - kilka kropel aromatu waniliowego - 75g letniego mleka - 55g roztopionego masła - szczypta soli ➡️ wszystkie składniki mieszamy ze sobą, do uzyskania jednolitej elastycznej masy, odkładamy w ciepłe miejsce na ok.1h do wyrośnięcia. Po tym czasie dzielimy ciasto na 3 pasma i pleciemy warkocz (ja zrobiłam dzisiaj z 4 pasm) odkładamy na 30min do wyrośnięcia. 💫 Breakfast bars 💫 We have been having a lot of these recently to try and curb our snacking though the shop bought ones are still high in sugar so thought I'd try and make my own. I made some with filling and some without, the recipe seemed to work well and tastes lovely with the berry compote filling, however on it's own, although not horrible its missing that extra but of sweetness 🙊 so I think I'm going to tweak about about with the recipe a little and then I can share it I think they look pretty good though...in a rustic sort of way don't you think?

Why are big plates marked as unhealthy? 🧐 I personally feel like its all about the calories, some menus show the calories in each meals and i can understand that 600 calories can be a scary number for some but if we take a look at the nutritional profile you may be missing out on some extra goodies 🤏 Of course different foods have different nutritional properties but there are a few things to consider before marking a meal as unhealthy or not right for you, and there are also things you can do to make a meal more healthy ☺ ✅ Your total daily calorie allowance Whether a meal is high in calories or not is kind of dependant on your daily calorie intake. If we take a bodybuilder who eats 10,000 calories a day compared to someone who eats 1,200 calories then of course there is a big difference between the waycalories are divided per each meal. ✅ Cooking method There are different ways of making your meals like frying, boiling, grilling and so on. Oil can add a significant amount of calories and different types of fats to your meals so if you're avoiding certain foods due to this then simply switch up your cooking methods from frying to grilling etc. ✅ The types of products used Calories are one thing but we also need to account for the quality of those calories. Eating food alternatives can be a great method, for instance red meat can be high in saturated fats and calories so you can switch to other meats like chicken or turkey. The point is that you shouldn't be afrair to eat foods you enjoy because a meal that is high in calories will also add its nutritional value, keep your hunger under control and also maintain a healthy balance between 'greens' and foods that satisfy your cravings There are pros and cons to everything. ______________

Buongiorno a tutti ☀️ La crostata è il dolce per eccellenza, amato da grandi e piccini e ideale per tutte le occasioni! La crostata che vi proponiamo per noi è ancora più speciale perché richiama le nostre tradizioni ed è frutto della ricetta della nonna. Con le dosi che troverete indicate riuscirete a preparare due crostate. Ingredienti: - 500 gr di farina - 200 gr di zucchero - una bustina di lievito per dolci - 200 gr di strutto - una essenza di vaniglia - una essenza di limone - 3 uova Procedimento: Per prima cosa disponete in una ciotola la farina, il lievito, lo zucchero e mescolate. Aggiungete le uova, lo strutto ammorbidito e le essenze di vaniglia e limone. Impastate il tutto e procedete poi alla stesura del vostro impasto. Disponete la base sulla tortiera e cospargete sopra un abbondante strato di nutella. Spennellate con dell’acqua. In forno a 180 gradi per circa 20 minuti.

Mugcake experiment met courgette Wat is het toch een feestje dat je zo de tuin in kan lopen om allerlei lekkers en leuks te halen en te experimenteren. Na onze vakantie hadden we zoveel courgette dat ik me maar eens gewaagd heb aan een zoet experiment hiermee. Samen met wat wortels maakte ik nu deze wat zoete mugcake. Een mooi begin van de dag allemaal😘. Hoe maak je het? Meng in een blender kort het volgende: 3 cashewnoten 1/2 tl maanzaad 20 g havervlokken 20 g volkorentarwemeel 1 ei 40 g geraspte wortel 30 g geraspte courgette paar korrels zout 1 tl arachideolie 1 kl stevia Philadelphia light Bloemen die ik gebruikt heb: goudsbloem, toppen van kamille en oostindischekers. Schep het mengsel in een mok en zet het in de magnetron 850W 3 min. Laat de mugcake dan afkoelen, snijd in plakken en op de plakken smeer je wat gezoete roomkaas en leg je wat bolletjes courgette en wortel. - - -
