MY LITTLE FLOWERS ——————————————————————— When we look with the eyes of love even the little, insignificant flowers in the garden appear beautiful and big- yes even tiny, tiny petals. 🍄 They are the main stars in all my wax work and even in creating perfumes. 🍄 This is a little insight, a glimpse to the God I know- we too have loveliness, beauty and worth no matter who we are or what we do. 🍄 We are all part of the BIG scheme of things when we see with the eyes of LOVE. 🍄 St Thérèse Of Lisieux popularly known as "The Little Flower of Jesus", or simply "The Little Flower” is known for saying the following: *•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*• “The splendor of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not rob the little violet of it’s scent nor the daisy of its simple charm. If every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose its loveliness.” ― Thérèse de Lisieux. . . . . . .

Thank you St Therese for my Rose. Praying a novena, nine day prayer, for a specific intention, and boldy asked for a rose to be given to me. Putting out the garbage this am, and my neighbour's daughter called me over to her, and extended her tiny arm with this fully bloomed 'rose', saying 'this is for you'. WOW! 🤗 One of many graces from my favourite saint. The day is off to a beautiful start!!! 😊

Beautifully wise words from St. Therese, as she reminds us the importance of remaining grounded in the present moment. We don’t indulge regrets of the past, nor have anxieties and fear of the future. Helpful in a time of such uncertainty! I like the emphasis on living “simply” also. If there is a silver lining to this pandemic, I do feel it is a wonderful reminder of the little joys of life and reminding us of how little we truly need to have faith. St. Therese of Lisieux, pray for us!

Let us proclaim with Saint Paul that if I can do all things, “but do not have love, I gain nothing.” (1 Cor 13:3). Love is more than a feeling because love is a vocation. Every Christian is called to love God and others as Christ loved us. In a world so void of true love, we must be living examples of the love that Jesus Christ calls us to have. This love is sacrifice, dying to ourselves each day and mortifying our passions in order to make others loved despite what they do to us. Remember that you can have Faith great enough to move mountains and prophetic powers but if you do not have love, what do you have? ____________________________________________

Sailing toward the eternal shore How would you describe your life’s journey? Thérèse of Lisieux—Carmelite nun, saint, and doctor of the church—imagined her life journey as sailing the sea. Reflecting one evening on the sun setting across the sea at Trouville, she wrote of how the sun left a “luminous trail.” “It was to me the image of God’s grace shedding its light across the path the little white-sailed vessel had to travel.” She committed herself to following Jesus “in order to travel peacefully towards the eternal shore." What image would you use? And how do you experience God with you along the way?

So today the Catholic Church celebrates the feast of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, who particularly is a Saint I greatly admire! As my Confirmation Patron Saint and name, I chose her. While in the process of deciding who I would choose (there's just sooo many great Saints and as indecisive as I can be at times I would choose several if I could!!), I realized I was particularly drawn to her for several reasons. I was drawn to the simplicity of her faith and simple relationship with God, I was drawn to her delicate conscience that helped her to quickly repent and strive to be better whenever she did something wrong, and I was drawn to how she had a clear mission and purpose as a religious nun. Even though she was a cloistered nun and it would seem she was cut off from the larger world she left such a great impact through the simple and little things in life, as well as by how she loved others. Her mission was to pray for the salvation of souls as well as for Priests of the Church. She also desired to be a Saint and help people on earth from heaven by sending down a shower of "roses", meaning God's graces. There's so many interesting little stories of the things she has said and done and I encourage everyone to read more about her life because I believe she has so much to teach us... And through her life we can learn simplicity, humility, patience, and joy, even in the midst of suffering and hardships. St. Thérèse of Lisieux, pray for us!

Today we remember St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the Little Flower that became a doctor of the Church. As we contemplate the beautiful flowers all around us, let us be reminded by these beautiful words by her and embrace the path God has called us to: "I understood that every flower created by Him is beautiful, that the brilliance of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not lessen the perfume of the violet or the sweet simplicity of the daisy. I understood that if all the lowly flowers wished to be roses, nature would no longer be enamelled with lovely hues. And so it is in the world of souls, Our lord's living garden."

“My God, I love You!” — St. Thérèse of Lisieux | Today is the Feast of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, a saint to whom I have a particular devotion. Marie–Françoise Thérèse (“Thérèse”) Martin was born January 2, 1873 in Alençon, France, the ninth and final child of Sts. Louis and Zélie Guérin Martin. After her mother’s death in 1877, the Martin family moved to Lisieux to be closer to their extended family members. At the age of fifteen, she expressed a desire to enter the convent in Lisieux, but she was denied due to her young age. She made a pilgrimage to Rome, where she met with His Holiness Pope Leo XIII, who knew of her desire to become a nun. She entered the convent on April 9, 1888, at fifteen years of age, professing her perpetual vows on September 8, 1890, at seventeen years of age. Upon her entry to the convent, she was given the epithet, “Sister Thérèse of the Child Jesus,” which she asked to be amended to “Sister Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face,” which was granted. At the age of twenty–two, she was ordered by her abbess to write about her life, which would become her autobiography, “The Story of a Soul.” Her final years were marked by a rapid decline due to tuberculosis. On September 30, 1897, she died of the disease at twenty–four years of age. She was beatified by His Holiness Pope Pius XI on April 29, 1923, and she was canonized by the same on May 17, 1925. She is one of the patron saints of France, as well as the patron saint of florists and gardeners, loss of parents, and foreign missions. She was declared a Doctor of the Church in 1997 by His Holiness Pope St. John Paul II. She is one of four saints, alongside Sts. Bernadette, Agnes, and Dymphna, that I consider to be my “older sisters,” my patrons. To reiterate her final words, “My God, I love You!” St. Thérèse of Lisieux, virgin, pray for us (“Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus,” photographed by unknown, 1897).

Lately, I’ve been taking time to just go about my day in silence — no podcasts, no music, no cellphone, nothing. I usually do it when I’m going about my daily homekeeping routine, which takes me 90 minutes or less each day (except Mondays it takes longer because that’s when I change linens, etc.) Anyway, silence is a powerful thing and I feel it usually magnifies my ability to pray fervently. Silence, of course, isn’t the absence of sound, but the absence of noise — if that makes sense. Happy Feast Day Of St. Thérèse of Lisieux!

| PRāYēR TīMē "For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy." St. ThéRèse of Lisieux -- I have a chair in a corner of a room that I sit in to read my Bible, pray and meditate on the greatness of God. -- And this little one joins me every time. Purring she brings her own prayers to the Father, she 'helps' to help read the liturgy of hours, and 'tries' to pray the rosary. -- Sometimes far more annoying than help, but always very cute! --

Healing and Deliverance through Padre Pio OBTAIN THE POWER OF HOLY EUCHARIST Plead the lord through padre pio! A PRAYER OF ST. PADRE PIO AFTER COMMUNION Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have You present so that I do not forget You. You know how easily I abandon You. Stay with me Lord, because I am weak, and I need Your strength, so that I may not fall so often. Stay with me Lord, for You are my life, and without You, I am without fervor. Stay with me Lord, for You are my light, and without you, I am in darkness. Stay with me Lord, to show me Your will. Stay with me Lord, so that I hear Your voice and follow You. Stay with me Lord, for I desire to love you very much, and always be in Your Company. Stay with me Lord, if You wish me to be faithful to You. Stay with me Lord, for as poor as my soul is, I want it to be a place of consolation for You, a nest of Love. Stay with me, Jesus, for it is getting late, and the day is coming to a close, and life passes, death, judgment, eternity approach. It is necessary to renew my strength, so that I will not stop along the way and for that, I need You. It is getting late and death approaches. I fear the darkness, the temptations, the dryness, the cross, the sorrows. O how I need You, my Jesus, in this night of exile. Stay with me tonight, Jesus, in life with all its dangers, I need You. Let me recognize You as Your disciples did at the breaking of bread, so that the Eucharistic Communion be the light which disperses the darkness, the force which sustains me, the unique joy of my heart. Stay with me Lord, because at the hour of my death, I want to remain united to you, if not by Communion, at least by grace and love. Stay with me Jesus, I do not ask for divine consolation because I do not merit it, but the gift of Your presence, oh yes, I ask this of You. Stay with me Lord, for it is You alone I look for, Your Love, Your Grace, Your Will, Your Heart, Your Spirit, because I love You and ask no other reward but to love You more and more. With a firm love, I will love You with all my heart while on earth and continue to love You perfectly during all eternity. Amen.

Feast of St. Therese of Lisieux October 1st 2018 Homily - Fr. Patrick Carr At the age of 24, St. Therese became one of the most powerful and influential women in the history of the Church. And it wasn’t because she founded a religious order; or had the stigmata like St. Francis of Assisi or Padre Pio did; or lived in the slums of Paris like Mother Theresa did in Calcutta. No, it was because of St. Therese’s little way. The little way is complete and utter confidence in God - the Father’s love for us. All that is manifested in accepting and fulfilling the demand of love in the immediacy of one’s circumstances. In other words, it is doing the ordinary things with extraordinary love. That’s the road to sanctity. That’s what we are called to be – saints. We must be saints to enter into heaven. We can either do it here or in purgatory. The real crucible where we are purified of our self interest and ego is in the every day world. How many times do you get a chance to respond with kindness to someone who may not be that accommodating? Everyday! It may be your spouse, your co-worker, or a stranger you meet on the street. Each time we consciously we respond with love to someone who is unkind to us, we burn away our imperfections and our selfishness. We become purified. We become saints. And therefore, we are capable of living with God forever.

Happy Feast Day of St. Thérèse 🌹 . As I was coming into the Church, a friend suggested that I read her autobiography, "The Story of a Soul." Right as I was exploring who to choose for my confirmation saint, this book found me. . As I read, I found parallels that I shared with her, in the way she described her experience as she anticipated her first Holy Communion. She taught me much as I was about to receive our Lord's Body and Blood for the first time. I immediately felt connected to her, as we shared some particular desires, feelings, obstacles, and lessons. . The saints fascinated me, yet they terrified me. How could one such as myself live a life as dedicated to God as they? These are what true Christians look like, and I was terrified. I felt like a weed next to their beauty. I, a small particle of sand, them, a mountain. Their boldness and total self-abandon was motivated by a reckless and unashamed love for God. And I was scared that I could never climb to the heights of Love that they surmounted. . But then I met St. Thérèse, and her words paved a way to sainthood for the little souls, and she called it The Little Way. And what hope and consolation her words have brought to my own little soul ever since I laid eyes on them. . Her way was not of some great display, or of some great adventure to do some great thing in some distant land. It was not of speaking eloquent words to crowds. It was a quiet way. And it often went unnoticed. It was simple. It was a little way. . Her way is choosing to befriend those who annoy her. Seeing Jesus in everyone. Kind words. Patience. Generously giving all things. Praying for all. Blaming herself before others. Taking the jobs no one else wants to do. Quietly suffering to spare others. Approaching Jesus as a little child, letting Him stoop down to her, to lift her up to Him. . It is not an easy way, but it is a way that can be lived in the ordinary experiences of daily life, and it is a way of great Love. . "Jesus, my Love, I have at last found my vocation; it is love! I have found my place in the Church's heart, the place You Yourself have given me, my God. Yes, there in the heart of Mother Church I will be love."

The first rose bush we looked at had many roses on it but when I went to trim them all of the petals fell off. Thinking I was going to end up with some very disappointed onlookers we walked towards the 2nd rose bush and there among roses that had expired 🥀🥀long ago sat the tiniest rose that had recently bloomed. Children have a way of trusting and being completely happy in the littlest of things. Apparently I was the only one who thought we weren’t going to find any roses to give to St. Thérèse of Lisieux on her Feast Day. Luce divina rutilantis aulae (Hymn to St. Thérèse of Lisieux) From clear high mansions of that shining palace Where you enjoy the light of God’s dear presence, And plead our causes, mindful of your promise Show’r down your roses. Roses of faith to shed its light supernal, Roses of hope when obstacles surround us, And for our strengthening in daily living Roses of pure love. Through your own childlike confidence and candor Send us the rose of quietly discerning Love of a Father, shining in each happening Both sweet and bitter. This be our portion, God forever blessed, Father eternal, Son and Holy Spirit, Whose is the glory which through all creation Resounds forever. Let us pray: O Lord, Who hast said: Unless you became as little children you shall not enter the kingdom of Heaven, grant us, we pray, so to follow, in humility and simplicity of heart, the footsteps of the virgin blessed Therese, that we may attain to an everlasting reward. Who livest and reignest with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end. Amen.

Everything is grace. . This phrase found me years ago through the writings of Ann Voskamp, a Christian author, and her perspective on gratitude and her lens of grace, she taught me to see everything as a gift, and it really changed my life. . Becoming Catholic, I found this phrase again in the words of dear St. Thérèse, who I chose as my confirmation saint, named my daughter after, and whose intercession I have asked and received many graces through. I have even received roses, despite my doubts that she actually showers those who pray to her with roses, now I can say, she truly does! . This phrase has become a way of life, a lens to see the world through, and a transforming gift for this little soul, training my heart to always be grateful and to ceaselessly give praise to my Father in heaven, in any and all circumstances. . "Everything is a grace, everything is the direct effect of our Father's love—difficulties, contradictions, humiliations, all the soul's miseries, her burdens, her needs - everything, because through them, she learns humility, realizes her weakness - Everything is a grace because everything is God's gift. Whatever be the character of life or its unexpected events—to the heart that loves, all is well." - St. Thérèse of Lisieux P.s. Hymn to Our Lady of Perpetual Help / Succour Full well you know that from my tenderest years Your image sweet has borne my heart away, For tender pity in your gaze appears, With you I found the golden light of day. R/. O Virgin Mary, when to Heaven I go Your loveliness forever shall I see; But my Perpetual Succour here below Is your sweet image ever dear to me. When fervour made me willing to obey It seemed as if your picture on me smiled, But if betimes, my will was led astray, Your welling tears reproved your erring child. R/. O Virgin Mary, when to Heaven I go Your loveliness forever shall I see; But my Perpetual Succour here below Is your sweet image ever dear to me. In hearkening ever to my lowly prayer, You showered on me the sweetness of your love, The very thought of you is now a share A foretaste of eternal bliss above. R/. O Virgin Mary, when to Heaven I go Your loveliness forever shall I see; But my Perpetual Succour here below Is your sweet image ever dear to me. O Mother dearest, 'mid temptation's strife I feel that you a constant strength impart, Because you know that till the close of life I wish to offer souls to Jesus' Heart. R/. O Virgin Mary, when to Heaven I go Your loveliness forever shall I see; But my Perpetual Succour here below Is your sweet image ever dear to me. For evermore your Image shall remain My treasure, my Perpetual Succour be, And 'tis my wish in death's dread hour of pain My dying gaze may still be fixed on thee. R/. O Virgin Mary, when to Heaven I go Your loveliness forever shall I see; But my Perpetual Succour here below Is your sweet image ever dear to me. Then soaring to the vast, eternal shore, I'll come to rest, dear Mother, at your feet; And there held safe, enjoy for evermore, The tender bliss of your caresses sweet. • Hymn by St. Thérèse of Lisieux 📷: National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians, Parañaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines •

“May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and everyone of us.”

. For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy.
