So proud of the upLIFT class this morning at @brenhamcrossfit for pushing themselves and HAVING FUN!!🙌🙌 . They were open to push their limits, challenge their body by trying something new and be able to laugh at themselves when it didn't turn out perfectly since it was much harder than it looked!! (Like those half quadraped jumps we did😜) . If we're doing things absolutely perfectly, my question would be: are we challenging ourselves, exploring new things, testing our limits, and having fun? Things didn't look perfect 100% of the time (but were body-weight exercises done safely👍) but that's because we were doing all the above and THAT makes me proud as a coach.

Lee joined me in a workout on Saturday. It was a bit chaotic. We struggled figuring out our spacing and how we could both use the step. The twins were running all around us. But after 20 minutes, we were both spent! So proud of him. And he got to try out a workout that from a distance might look like a breeze but will challenge you!

➡️➡️➡️A quick advice of how to stay on track this time! ⬅️⬅️⬅️ Since warm days are getting more and more and summer is getting closer a lot of us are struggling with motivation and keeping track of our goals... Those easy steps will give you an easy guidance on how to stay motivated and avoid boredom 🎉🎉🎉 ▶️ Write down exactly how much weight and how many centimeters you want to lose/gain. And until when. 📃 ▶️Put the scale away. At least for two weeks. Otherwise you are obsessing yourself with numbers, which don't always say it all about you body condition. ▶️Take pictures every two weeks/every month to see the progress. Try to have the same light and distance to the camera.📸 ▶️Same think goes for the measuring - just don't do it too often. Since a lot of things influence our body during the day(s) You will just end up frustrated instead of motivated. Once every two weeks should be enough to keep track 😉 ▶️Get some friends and try new things together. It definitely is more fun and increases the chance for all of you to do it again 👭👬 ▶️A massage or a warm bubble bath every time you made some progress will be a perfect motivation to keep things going 🛀 ▶️One hour of jogging through the same area three times a week definitely won't be enjoyable in the long run. 💜Barbell Hip Thrust Using The Smith Machine💜 Have you tried hip thrusts yet? Lately they’re topping the list of trendy glute exercises – for good reason. First of all, the hip thrust uses the gluteus maximus (the upper glute muscle), gluteus medius (the lower glute muscle), the quadriceps, and the hamstrings. As a bonus, hip thrusts also involve the entire core, including the muscles referred to as “stabilizer” muscles that help us keep our balance and keep our spine stable. 1️⃣Begin by putting padding around the barbell to prevent it from digging into your hips when you thrust. 2️⃣Place your upper back on a bench not quite under the smith barbell on the smith machine. 3️⃣Place the racked barbell across your hips. 4️⃣Keep your feet planted firmly on the ground, close to your glutes. 5️⃣Drive your hips skyward, engaging your core and abs 6️⃣Hold for a count then lower to your starting position. 7️⃣Rack the barbell and repeat for 8 to 10 reps. Basically, if you want to take your backside to the next level, you need to be doing hip thrusts. Whether you’re using them as a main lift with low reps and heavy weight, or as a supplement to heavy deadlifts and squats, hip thrusts have a well-deserved place in your routine because they fire your glute muscles, big-time. PUSH yourself to be the BEST you you can be! 💪💪 🎆Challenged myself to see how long I could hold a plank. 🎆 It's been about a year since I've timed my plank. I remember when I started trying  to do planks longer after Ayva-Rose was born and holding for a minute was my biggest success after months of trying to get it to become a longer time then 30 seconds.🙊 I thought it would be roughly a minute than I would drop since I haven't done many planks except 30 second ones in my LIIFT4 program. 🔥2 minutes. I held the plank. Near the end I was shaking so much. But I did it! 🔥 This is such an accomplishment for me! It's not about beating other people but strengthening myself and pushing myself to be the best I can be 😀 Now it's your turn.
