Happy Earth Day! I just love omega supplements to help with the mom brain. Did you know that your babies steal omegas from your body while they are growing and also while they are nursing? The BEST thing you can do is change how you consume. Thrift shopping & reusing, or buying quality products that will last a lifetime. You don’t have to wear expensive outdoor brands. You don’t have to be white, rich or straight. You can care about the planet no MATTER who you are or what you do. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🌲 Question EVERYTHING Question the marketing on ‘green’ products, the emphasis on personal reduction, your reluctance to take action, and all the advertisements that say oil ‘helps’ the economy. You have to be willing to make hard decisions, daily or weekly, in order to become and/or maintain the person you want to be. Are there tough decisions you need to make but have been avoiding? No one can make them for you. You must be willing to be disciplined enough to choose healthier food options and choose to workout to have better health. We had a bit of a taste of spring last week with some sun and warmer weather and then all that rain! ☀️ 🌧 To make it easier to tolerate the weather, I tell myself that the rain is cleansing away the winter and bringing in new life and warmer weather. Besides it could be worse…..it could be snow! ❄️ 🥶 Spring is a great time for starting new healthy habits and routines. Every spring I look at my self-care routine and try to change it up. I try to take away what might not be working, add in more of what is, and even try new habits. I am diligent with my spring detoxification dietary cleanse which helps me to shed winter weight, decrease inflammation, clear the cobwebs in my brain, and kick start a new self-care routine. This year, I want to share with you a few of the changes I am making to my routine: 1️⃣ I am committing to a regular meditation practice. I’m currently using Emily Fletcher’s Ziva Technique @zivameditation that involves two 15-minute daily meditations. I’ve been practising this for 3 weeks and already notice a difference in my mood, patience, and stress levels. Amazing! 💆🏼‍♀️ 2️⃣ I’ve committed incorporating exercise into my weekly routine that includes HIIT sessions twice/week, pilates twice/week, and at least one yoga class at my favourite studio, @saana_yoga 🧘🏼‍♀️ 3️⃣ Change my diet! I’m most excited to be able to get back to eating lots of greens and salads every day. Over the winter, I tend to eat warm, comforting foods like soups and stews but now that the warmer weather is coming, I can’t wait to switch up my meals to add in more salads. Greens are so nourishing and filled with vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients and anti-oxidants. Plus they taste amazing! I have promised myself that I will get creative this spring and try some new salad creations so stay tuned for some new greens recipes. 🥗🥬🥒🥦🥑 What are some of the ways that you change up your routine in the spring?

HAPPY EARTH DAY! I’m so grateful to have seen such beautiful places on this earth. I’ve just recently become more aware of ways to take care of this one place we all so undeservingly get to call home. Here are 5 SIMPLE ways to reduce & reuse. 1. Reusable grocery bags. Leave them in your car so you always have them & you won’t have to use some many plastic bags. If you forget your reusable ones (I often do) opt for paper bags & reuse those! 2. Use a water bottle to refill! I use a @hydroflask - it doubles as a weapon while walking to my car late after work. 3. Use a bar of soap. No plastic, no problem. You use it until it runs out and poof it’s gone! No leftover plastic bottle. 4. @stasherbag ! I use these for snacks, leftover scraps, overnight toiletry bags, etc. & @bramblemarket Beeswax wraps for food (instead of plastic wrap & plastic bags) 5. Opt for glass instead of plastic - I try and use glass tubberware, mason jars for nuts/seeds, sauces, water, anything! . . What are you doing to reduce plastic use? I feel like this is a very busy season for all of us. Everyone I’ve been talking to seems to be going through a pretty demanding time 😅⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ This is why I want to share with you I stay sane when life gets crazy 😎⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ In one sentence: GO BACK TO BASICS ‼️⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ ✅Wake up and get centered. My morning routine includes meditation, journaling, gratitude and setting intentions and priorities for the day. That NEVER changes. It’s absolutely key especially when I am away from home and I am going through some challenges. It helps me slow down and think instead of just reacting to the circumstances.⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ ✅Let go of everything that is not absolutely necessary. I try to be present and at the top of my game for the most important things only and I put everything else on hold. Trying to do everything will just make you feel overwhelmed and exhausted.⁣⠀ ⁣⠀ ✅Be prepared to change your plans. This is a hard one for me, but learning to be flexible with my planning and not too hard on myself has made such a difference in my life. When life gets crazy, you have to get smarter. I want to enjoy views like this for as long as I’m on this earth! Happy EARTH day everyone, let’s treat er right! . I was super fortunate growing up, my parents took us on a ton of family trips - I’ve gotten to see a lot of the U.S. all the way from Montana to New York and many places in between! . It created a passion for exploring and adventure. I’m not good at sitting still, I need to be out and about and doing and seeing! . Nothing bums me out more than having to plan out my vacation time so I don’t go over my PTO for work.. (mind you I also have a very generous PTO) A lot of people will think that sounds selfish, and that’s fine you’re entitled to your opinion. . BUT we all have different desires and passions in life and TRAVEL is so important to me... . So, what am I doing about? Well I’m stepping out of the box, taking action and making sacrifices in other areas to get myself to a point where I don’t need to worry about asking off of work or my request getting denied. There are ways to live your life on YOUR time and if you’re willing to step outside your comfort zone ( the only place you’ll grow) then let’s do it together!
