Transformation Tuesday🖤 (So the first pic was taken about year ago, and next 2 pics where taken lastweek sunday and lastnight) bearing in mind i was on alot of medication, steriods and having chemo and radition done due to my disease.. over the last couple of months, ive been training hard, eat right to the best that i could, being patient with my body and ofcuz working hard for my results 😁! Let’s talk pull ups 🤨🤨. When I first started training or lifting I was that girl who never worked upper body! 🤫 And lets be honest a lot of times we go to the gym and we perfect the areas we enjoy or excel at. That was weight lifting not necessarily body weight training. With that being said I never went to the gym and did pull ups. This year I told myself I was going to achieve something out of my zone. In the middle of January I attempted my first pull up and FAILED! I never knew they were so difficult. Every day after that if I trained I tried to attempt a pull-up and every time I failed. On February 1st I was training legs decided to give it a try even though I was beat from training. I talked myself up and to my surprise I SUCCEEDED! Don’t mind my swinging feet 😂 I need a lil extra push. I repeated until I couldn’t lift myself anymore. I had to make sure it was official lol. No matter what your body does what the mind tells it!

Don’t confuse achievements with happiness. . It’s really easy to convince ourselves “I’ll be happy once __________________.” *I get to my goal weight. *I graduate. *I have my perfect house. *I’m married. *I can sufficiently provide for my family. *I get that promotion. . But the problem with this thinking is that sure, it can cause temporary elation/happiness. But what about after that? Once the zeal is gone. Then it’s onto the next thing you’ve picked out to wait to happen in order to “be happy.” . My point being 1) enjoy the journey! Sure, those moments are great when they happen. But what about all the other moments? Great opportunities to be happy. 2) stop ruining the little amazing things with the mundane, and missing the beauty. I myself am very guilty of checking off my to-do list and simply trying to be as efficient as I can in doing so. And in that rush, I miss a beautiful sunset. The gorgeous flower amidst the weeds. The beautiful moments I’ve stepped over being “too busy” or chasing achievements. . I’m not saying don’t work your butt off. Work your butt off. But smell the roses along the way. 🌹 . PS - 3000 push-ups in for 2019 and I’m seriously noticing some chest muscle development. Good lighting and no editing makes this gains chaser grin. 😎🙃
